This afternoon I was sitting on a bench in the middle of a field finishing a book. I heard a rustling at my feet and looked down and found the cutest little red squirrel in pounce mode- somewhat like the photo on the right. See his tufty ears. We looked at each other and he scurried off. By the time I dug my camera out of my bag, he was far enough away that I only got this one shot of his blurry red tail. I wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home, but I don''t think red squirrels like to go in my pocket. (Left photo from wikipedia.)
You must befriend him. That would be the cutest thing ever.
